Varietal: Cabernet and Merlot DOC Isonzo del Friuli

Ageing: After the wine is racked off it ages in French barriques for twelve months.

Characteristics: Deep ruby with purple tint with a lightly herbaceous smell and notes of flowers and red fruits. Evident hints of cranberry, blackcurrant and notes of licorice. On the palate it has a tannic structure, dry and bodied. The flavour is full of character and reflexes the typology of the soil from which its name comes.
This wine goes well with the whole meal: from hearty first course dishes to fish, red meat, lamb, games and mildly aged cheeses. Suggested serving temperature: 16 / 18 °C. ABV 13.00%.

Four generations of winegrowers and a century of history Masùt da Rive is an eco-friendly wine estate using clean and renewable energy and does not use any chemical weed killers.

Respect for the natural cycle of the grapevine is the guiding principle that drives their work amongst the rows and our careful observation of the grape suggest the right moment of the perfect balance between ripening and yield. The harvest by hand is then the crowning of the know-how of the winemakers who deeply care for the exaltation of the grape variety and the pure expression of the terroir.

Nature is not betrayed in the winery and tradition is revered. The vinification is suggested by the specific nature of the vintage. The techniques seek to preserve the characteristics of the fruit: soft pressing in a vacuum, the selection of the yeasts, controlled temperatures, steel for the white wines and fine French wood for the red wines… And in the end they are bottled when the Moon is most propitious.
